Show me your CUSTOM EXHAUST!!!

I am looking into putting together a custom exhaust for my 06 regular cab with the 5.4 engine. I need some ideas of what kind of system I can make. If you can please show me your custom exhaust and what parts you used to produce it. Thanks!!

that guy went way overboard.

the factory pipes come to together in a "y" shape just past the t-case on the passenger side. he redirected the drivers bank for some reason...and I can't figure out why?

anyways, get 2 bullet style mufflers (Gibson, Magnaflow) or 1 dual inlet, dual outlet muffler (Flowmaster, Magnaflow). It's a peice of cake for a exhaust shop to fab it all up. They just have to cut the "Y" out and there is a butt-ton of room for everything else. I recommend re-using as much of the OEM pipe as possible to save $$$.

you'll also need a good "h" or "x" pipe. this allows the exhaust pressure to balance between the engine banks...and it also creates a scavenging effect. You can get the mufflers and x,h pipe on the Internet for <$150 easily...and maybe $100-150 for the install/welding

I personally recommend Magnaflow stuff. I have Flowmaster and Magnaflow right now...and the Magnaflow is my favorite hands down. Flows are just too damn loud

I just took off the muffler/tailpipe and put a glasspack in its place and welded a tab on the muffler and bolted it to the stock mounting hole.

I'll get pics if I can and I'll tell you if there is any change in mileage.

Here is my 2007 Roushcharged F150 running 9psi. The exhaust is a 2.5" true dual mandarel bent exhaust exiting in front of the passenger side tire. The muffler I am using is a 21" Magnaflow muffler wh/ has an x-pipe built in. The tips are 2 Gibson tips.

Slideshow of pictures

3 video clips ranging from inside roll, out side flyby to an inside dig.

Enjoy!

Nice system mrpositraction. I'm Roush charged as well and I'm going to do something similiar. I'm going with Magnaflow X pipe 10791 and the 22" DIDO muffler 14568. The pipes will exit just before the passenger rear tire with 2 1/2-3 1/2 Ractive slanted tips.

I think that is the same muffler I got. You may want to check, as the muffler I have has an x-pipe built into the muffler.
