99 ranger 3.0 wont start

i have a 1999 ford ranger 3.0 manual transmission it wont start it trys to start it sound like timing it has fuel and spark but it kicks like a timing problem the other thing is that the maf sensor is reading weird and we replaced it with another one has anyone ever heard about this before

Welcome. Have you tried pulling codes?

How did you determine that the MAF was reading weird?

how we found out was hooking a scanner to it and the maf reading was way off

Try unplugging the maf harness connector and see if the motor starts then.
