TRANY Question

No Im not going to write about how horrible my 05 350 Is, Infact the truck is actually running good.I gotten over my dissapointments ,any way there seems to be a slight delay if you will, when accelerating it seems the truck lags from first to second gear, is this normal it seems to shift okay through the rest of the gears.maybe its me , just wandering if any one else experiences this with your truck. every thing tranny and motor is stock .the truck has 73 thousand miles on it.to my knowledge the tranny filter and flouid has never been changed . was looking at my oasis report , nothing on there that i could see about tranny issues, thanks for your replys. Foolforfords.....

I don't think a tranny flush or filter change wouldn't be on an oasis. If to your knowledge has never been changed....you need to get that done this week. That is the first thing I think Mark K would recommend then go from there. I noticed my tranny running anywhere from 5-10 degrees cooler after my flush.

the transmission by-pass filter (often refered to as the Toilet Paper roll)
calls for replacement every 30k miles !

Transmission By-Pass Filter Replacement

the fluid should be flushed 30k as well...

Good post bushpilot. Just to set the record straight, the schedule calls for a fluid and filter change - not specifically a flush. In a different section of the diesel manual, it says that flushing is an acceptable method for changing the fluid.

Personally, I had the flush procedure done and I am glad I did. I also had the differential fluid changed.
