351w motor mount ?'S

I am putting a 351W in my 65 f100, I already have 78 302 engine stands. What engine mounts do I need? I looked up (on the napa website) a couple of different cars and trucks with a 302 and a 351W and they all showed different part numbers.

Willy There were no Ws installed in trucks until the 80s, so there will not be any reference to parts that you can use. In 80 everything changed.

I could stand corrected, but imagine late 70s 302 mounts would work.

John, the 1969/79 302 engine stands are the same part numbers as the 1977/79 351M/400 2WD engine stands.

Someone here has posted several times that the 302 rubber mounts will work on 351W's...but there's no parts catalog ref that sez that.

No 351W's were installed in F150/350's (or Bronco's) till 1981.

1980/83 F100's didn't use the 351W engine, the largest engine available on these F100's was the 302.

But what perches and from what vehicle? It depends on what they're from. Econoline, Bronco or anything from 1980 and later will not work.

I thought he was asking about the rubber engine side mount, no?? Correctamundo.

Help me out where did I go wrong?? You didn't.
John
What perches he has, and what they're from, I dunno...he didn't say.

Because he didn't say, I was merely pointing out that the perches (stands, brackets, supports whatever ppl wanna call them) are the same for F100 302's from 1969/79, F150's from 1975/79, and are the same as 1977/79 F100/350 2WD 351M/400's.

As you said, there's no parts catalog info. Some ppl here have said 302 rubber mounts will work on a 351W. Personally, I dunno.

Motor mounts

Hey man log on to LMC truck parts or what ever its called. They have motor mounts listed in their catalogs for what you are looking for.

I would create a link for you if I was computer savy.

Type in LMC truck parts into your browsers search function and you should get what you need.

If you can't find it post back and I will try and pull out my old catalog and post part number and phone number for you

The 302 and 351W mounts are the same so all you need to do is order a set of '78 302 mounts. The 351W i have has followed me through a couple different cars and each time i've used 302 mounts.
