hey looking for info 64 f250 223 6 did it come with a pcv valve ? my book do not show one napa in town said no can do i need to use the truck today thanks todd

 

The PCV system was required in CA beginning in 1961, but some states didn't require it till later.

Look on the drivers side of the block just behind the 3rd core plug for a road draft tube. If it's there, the truck did not have the PCV system.

If there's no road draft tube, the PCV system might have been removed by a previous owner, or?

With the system, there were two possible locations for the valve.

Some valve covers had two holes, the front was used for the oil cap, the other (in the middle of the cover) for the valve.

With only one hole in the cover, the valve fit into a grommet that was pressed into the oil cap.
