rear suspension???
have a 78, f150, 351m, 4x4, 4spd, 6" lift, 38x12.50x15, 7ft bed, duel h/d after mkt. shocks on front, h/d after mkt. on rear, 3/4 ton rear end. just loaded a cord of wood, lifted my front end enough to make steering squirrelly. anyone have any idea's that might help.

OK all kinds of missing info.
A 3/4 ton rearend in a 1/2 ton truck ????
Did you change the the 1/2 ton springs when you changed the rearend and height?
The wieght capacity of the springs must be increased in order to keep the front end down unless you loaded the very rear of the bed heaviest.
Air bags are the greatest way to increase suspension capacity but with a lift may be difficult to fit correctly.
Remember you started with a 1/2ton and trying to load it to 3/4ton capacities can have adverse effects.
Shocks are only designed to keep the existing suspension from bouncing up and down not support the load (unless coilovers are used). HD just means the abilty to keep heavier capacities stable.

URJ I noticed you posted in 2 threads so keep track of both. Coil overs are shocks that have beefy small coilsprings around them. Can be purchased at any tire center or auto supply. Go with the bags if you are going to load this truck frequently. Bags do not alter ride cushion, suspension travel and flex. Check other thread.

Got to agree with six. Unfortunately the only way to load a truck is to stay within capaities. Air bags are only good for leveling. They will not increase capacity of the vehicle itself even with the heavier axle. I wouldn't use coil over shocks at all. I've seen to many shock mounts fail and this wasn't carrying added weight just the normal loading of the shocks.
