I just moved to Vincennes, and am wondering if there's any decent pick-n-pull yards around here. I have an 89 F250 and my brother has a 97 F150, so the next time either one of us needs parts, I'd like to know where they are.
Well, down here in Evansville is Liberty Pull-A-Part (libertyautosalvage . com) and Glisson's U-Pull (glissonauto . com). I've used both. I tend to like Liberty better.
We have a number of salvage yards but these are the only two, that I know of, that allow do it your self. Some will let you look around but you have to let them pull the part. There may be others in or just outside of Vanderburgh County but I'm not aware of them.
I just searched "Auto Salvage SW Indiana" and found Pike County Auto Recycling near you but I know nothing about it.
I also like going to Liberty pull a part, however, i think they used to have a better selection of parts a few years back. Glissons mostly has older trucks. There are a few salvage yards in vincennes, but i don't know of any pull it yourself yards there.
