Congrats to the both of you...as much as I might bellyache about how my education hasn't really applied, I can't say that with 100% certainty. I know that it has opened a door or two that would have remained closed if otherwise.
But, should there be any question as to how sick I actually am, it is expected that I'll be transferred back to Spokane within the next year or so, and if that happens, I have every intention of trying to get into Gonzaga to complete either a JD or a PhD. The masters is nice, but I need the final one to be able to teach at the university level, which is my end goal once I retire from my current job. I figure if I can get started even part time once I get to Spokane, I could possibly be done by the time I retire, which I am eligible for in only 8 years.
The plan, if you can call it one, is to try to get a professorship (preferrably at WSU), and teach areas of the field that I'll have worked for over 20 years (at that time). I figure if I have both the credentials, and that much actual experience, not too many schools would pass me over. Anyway, it's the plan...we'll see if I can bring it to fruition.
So, once more...congratulations to the both of you. It's nice to see people that take learning as seriously as you do. So, take your pasties, have fun at the g2g, and eat a weiner!........wait.......that didn't sound right whatsoever....I must be delusional on Windex and chocolate chips (I'm having a domestic sorta weekend cleaning and baking).
