I read that link yesterday. They will use 2 coolant charged EGR coolers. What this is going to do is place an even greater demand on the cooling system. I'll bet they will run a larger radiator as well as a larger fan. A larger fan will consume more hp when running. Cummins' solution is much better, IMHO. They will use the original EGR cooler with an additional air cooled EGR cooler in front of the radiator. I still think SCR is the way to go. Many more advantages than disadvantages.

Navistar and Cat are going to build a truck together. The kicker is they have purchased Mann diesel and that is the engine they are going to be using. Cat is all done with over the road engines. Volvo has now taken over as #1 diesel engine manufacture in the world, with or without cat dropping out.

Navistar didn't purchase MAN, they're in an engine development joint venture together. Also, Volvo became the largest diesel engine manufacturer in 2001 when they bought Mack/RVI.
