Looks like I'll be driving my truck every day for a while
Lost the clutch in my Focus Tuesday night, and it's the slave cylinder. The transaxle needs to come out to replace it, and I'm getting estimates in the 1200 range, so I'm going to try to tackle this one myself if possible, so I'll be driving my truck every day to work until the car is done. Which is fine, it's fun, but it's hard to keep my foot out of the loud pedal and I'll be using at least double the gas that the car uses.

I believe they call your situation the silver lining.
Let me see drive a focus or a 1979 Ford pick up?
At least for the summer the pick up wins hands down and the current price of fuel will quickly stiffen your gas pedal ankle causing your foot not to fall to the floor so easily when placed on the go fast plank.
Another up side is with you driving slower folks will get a much enjoyed longer look at the nicest styled truck Ford ever built.
Rick.

Yeah, I think I'm getting this "egg under my pedal" thing figured out. No whoosh from the secondaries yesterday or today. On the upside, it's getting cheaper to fix the Focus. A clutch kit costs between 475 & 740 (seriously!!!) in Canada, but only 280 in the States, so I'm thinking a road trip is in someone's future.
Matt, do you ever go shopping in Port Huron?
