It is mine. Actually I have already had someone "buy" it, but the guy changed the deal and wanted me to deliver it to him in another state, so I have just left it posted for sale until he comes to get it, or someone else steps up.
Surprisingly, I have got several inquiries. The thing about Excursions is they are such a unique and specialized vehicle, they are not as affected by the tides like more common diesel pickups.
I've noticed in the Raleigh,N.C. X's are still holding their value pretty good for the really nice low mileage ones, gas or diesel. I bought my 05 from a friend who ordered it brand new. I was at his house one night when he told me what he was going to sell it for. This thing has been well taken care of and it is almost like new. I knew if I didn't jump on it someone else would. Can't tow the boat or the camper with a Honda.
I have another thread going on here about my 2005 Ex that was in a pretty good wreck couple weeks ago. It's at the shop now being torn down and is most likely gonna be fixed, but it's close enough I'm trying to get them to total it out. It will be end of this week or early next week before I know more as they have to "update" the original claim estimate then get new approval from the ins company, etc... There is more suspension damage than previously thought, so not sure what the new estimate will be.
This is interesting to me because I'm looking at book values (dropping of course) and what they may really pay me for mine if totalled. I think you are right about the values of Excursions, they are certainly taking a hit, but not nearly as much as the much more common F 250/350 trucks which are much more common. I've been searching Ford dealer used inventories around me (and probably similar in about any city) and each dealer has 3 or 4 used p/u trucks with the 6.0 or even 7.3 but not one used excursion except for a 2wd 5.4L. Also, I tracked one couple weeks ago on eBay, very similar to yours but with the bench rear seat and 49k miles, sold for just over $29k, but further out west. For people with big families there will always be a market for these things, esp since they are out of production and the 2005 was best year for the 6.0L. I load up 3 kids, 2 or 3 adults and 2 dogs plus cooler and assorted junk and go wherever I want in complete comfort. Every now and then I take along our Holiday Ramber, older model that weighs over 9k pounds without making the thing sweat, there is just no substitute!
If I got word tomorrow that they would total mine, I'm looking at average between NADA and KBB is $31,000 +/- for mine with 47k miles, EB with same options as yours but original tires and shocks. My hope in this market of declining values is I could get $29 or 30k out of them, and if so I'd gladly c'mon down and get yours for $28k and not complain once about the fill ups on the way home. Esp for TN truck with much less road salt than up here in OH - has it always been in TN? I lived in Knoxville for first 2 years of owning mine and one winter in Cincinnati, you should see the rust underneath from one year... Anyway, good luck, and don't drop that price anytime soon, someone will come for it
Geoff.

I missed our old Suburban for 10 minutes...
Yep, it was before gas was $4.00 a gallon. Actually gas was $3.90 a gallon. For the last couple of years the DW and I have been bugeting $5.00 a gallon for fuel, however we may have to adjust the budget again. Like I've said in other posts,"I can't pull the boat or travel trailer with a honda".

Yes and no in my opinion. I was looking at X's before I bought this one and I was somewhat surprised at how close the gap between gas and diesel has closed. Some dealers had the V-10 or the diesel X for about the same price. Between the Craigslist ad and what I paid for mine is 4 grand. Not going to say anything bad about the 6.0 but after owning 2 over the last 4 years they are not for me anymore. I guess after owning the old dependable 7.3 IDI, nothing else compares. Maybe I'm a little old fashioned.

I've noticed the 6.0 diesel Excursions have dropped to the $20k-$25k range, from the $35k-$40k range I saw just last fall. I think it's a combination of the additional model-year difference from th e new trucks, the reputation of the 6.0 for troubles, and the price of diesel.
OTOH, 7.3's have only dropped about $2k on average; a lot more in the $13k-$15k range that would have all been asking over $15k in the past.
The worst-hit are the '00-'01 V-10's with over 100,000 miles; those are $6k-$8k, even in good condition. The higher-mileage ones have fallen below $5k.
