DTC codes: PO487, UO105, UO306

I was driving along the truck was running excellenet a bit of a wash board gravel road and my truck just quit 05' 6.0 L CC 5sp auto and my truck quit.

I tried resetting he emerg. fuel swithch it was not tripped, the top fuel filter had fuel, but the engine would not start, turns over nice and fast. I have a bullydog outlook monitor and i run the truck on tow mode. I got these codes from the outlook monitor and same with the triple dog programer, cleared the codes and they come right back and engine will still not start. I even restored it back to factory settings with the programer and it still will not start and still comes up with the same codes, and still does not start. I can not find any of these codes anywhere on the net i have looked so i have no idea aht is holding it out. Engine is still on warranty. Anyone know what these codes are?

Should i remove the outlook monitor too an the wires and disconnect the pyro form the outlook monitor before i take it tot he dealership?
I had to get it towed home about 42 km (25 miles)

Sounds like not enough high pressure oil. Maybe you STC fitting for the HPOP is leaking as many 05s have problems with that.

A good place to look up codes is: TikiWiki : Ford Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

Troubleshooting for a no start condtion would probably be best handled by the dealer. This sounds like an electrical issue.

Sounds like the FICM might have come unplugged or taken a dump completely. An EGR code, while giving you running problems, wouldn't cause a no start condition. Remove the programmer and return the truck to stock programming and see if it makes a difference. The Bullydog won't do anything as far as FICM programming anyway, but the dealership will be able to read it if it's there.

I should have looked up the codes lol. As stated above sounds like your FICM(fuel injection control module) might have gotten unplugged or just completely died. Check out the wiring harness plugs on the module to make sure they are properly plugged in, the module is a silver box mounted under the coolant resevoir to the driver's side valve cover.

Thanks for the replies so far guys you are the best i located the FCIM and it is hard to tell where the plugs are for it i was right nestled under the hood and i am not a small guy! lol
To get at the FCIM is the best way to remove the coolant reservior and the intake piping and filter or is ther an easier way? i could kind of feel plugs going under it but they also go to the back 2 holes injectors, so it i hard to tell if they went into the FCIM under neath and I can not reach around th4e back of it.

I was told the dealership is back up maybe 5 weeks to get in vehicles this town is still booming like crazy. It sure sounds like form the codes it is from that box or a plug which is how it reacted just like something came unplugged.

Npccpartsman i had already put it back to stock last night before the tow truck arrived and still same codes and still would not start.

Well called the dealer in town today and it is June 10 and they said they can get me in at the end of July! They just built a nice new biggg shop and dealership but only have 2 diesel mechanics! They do have a large territory to the north as the next Ford dealer is in White Horse approx. 870 miles to the north, but in Dawson Creek only 50 miles to the south they will look at it within 24 - 48 hours and have it out within a week sounds like better service to me by farrr One question would any of you recommend one way or the other weather i should take out my oulook monitor i mean right now with it back to stock it is just a set of guages right?

Well I got the truck the dealer in Dawson today will keep you posted with what they found ( Coog's 99 F-350 is also me ) but don't have the 99' any more so...

I found out a good fact today too, you can renew your Ford Roadside assistance for another year then an another year and so on, so the approx. 70 bucks it cost for the renewal and then unlimited tows to a Ford dealer should you need it in the year, is a lot less than the 300 bucks it was gonna cost to get it to a dealer in a town 42 miles away that could do the work in an accepable time frame

Coog,

Are you still there? I know its been a bit since this post but i have the same codes.
Can you tell me what was done to fix your F-350. I do not see the final solution in your thread.

Thanks
John
