So let me see if I can help focus the discussion: Which company can give an added 100 hp and 200 ft*lb tq AND get 22mpg @ 70 mph hiway driving and do this safely to not blow and driveline components?
AND, which will give you better support and customer service AFTER they sell it to you?
Banks will give you better customer support just because of their shear size but I am sure Spartan will also do the same. Banks will not help you outside of giving you information to use in your fight if your truck blows up and it will be a finger pointing match no matter which chip you use. I am not familiar with the new set up for the 6 Gun for the 6.4 (since its not out yet) but on the 6.0 liter it was obvious to a dealer even when removed and a lot of work so good luck getting around it. Also, the exhaust issue is still a gray area where a lot of dealers are stating any modifications will void your warranty even though Banks has a cooler than stock show on Trucks, I would be wary of doing it after my 6 liter experience and Banks.
Decided to go with the Spartan tuner. Ordered it last week. Getting the "DPF-on" tunes for now. Since it's changable/upgradable, I'll do the DPF delete after warranty expiration. Can hardly wait for more power & better MPG's!! Thanks for your input guys.

Love to hear of your experience. Please IM me so we can talk after a month or so. I would love to hear if this is the way to go or not.
Does running either the Spartan or Banks systems get rid of the terrible turbo lag, hesitation?
Im running the spartan tunes now curently the 210 tune. The 210 tune is night and day diffrence between the stock tunning. Almost instant throttle responce. Now the 250 tune is amazing. Its ***** out drop the hammer, the shift are aggresive, the smoke is insane and the responce amazing.
I dont know about the banks system as it has'nt even been released yet.

I have been dealing with spartan since back in december when they released the first custom tuning for the 6.4 thru the superchip flash pak. I have never not had a call returned or a question answered. I currently have the new spartan phalanx tuner and have had no issues with it. The new spartan phalanx is just amazing, the capabilitys go beyond any current tuner on the market right now. Just do a little checkin before you buy one and you will see what im talking about. As far as the tuning i now have 15,000 miles running spartan tunes and the truck performs flawlessly. I have had one issue with the idle rolling a little which they are currently working on that only affect job 1 builds. Outside of that issue the new tuning is great. The egt's are very managably even towing in the tunes up to the 210 tune. The 250 tune builds the egt'S VERY fast and is not for the heavy footed guy. In addition, they are updateing tunes as they improve them keepin us all up to date with the latest and greatest additions. All and all i would say i am completly satisfied with the product, the performance and customer service at this point.
Sanddemon, is it a plug and play system or do you have to drill a bunch of stuff out like on the 6.0 liter?
It plugs into the OBDII port and thats it. The pre turbo EGT comes from the EGR inlet temp probe. No drilling or anything very simple compared to the older 6.ohs Spartan is also working on a similar tuner for the 6.oh There has been no confirmed release dates yets.
That is cool. Do you have to upload a code through a programmer and leave it there or does it have an on the fly switch for the different power settings?
