Changing Oil Filter
I hate to change the oil filter because oil runs out, the filter get slippery and I have a mess. So I found a better way to do it. I put the drain pan in place. Then take a screw driver and hammer and punch a hole in the bottom of the filter to let it drain. Once its drained I can take it off without spilling all over. My pan is big enough I can pull the crankcase plug at the same time. Just thought I'd pass this tidbit along.

Thanks, I almost always wind up dropping the filter once it gets all oiled up.

I have a new shirt with nice oil stains from when the filter slipped out of my hand and gave me an oil bath. I had a few choice words with the filter after that.

Thanks for advice lowcan. I'll give it a try and look forward to having less of a oil mess from my filter.
