Installed A1 Power Windows

I just finished installing a set of A1 Power Windows on a 2008 F150XL. Installation went well. I removed the OEM manual Ford regulators and bolted on the new A1 Power regulators. Installed the switches (surfaced mounted on door panels) ran the wire Everything works fine. I had already installed the A1 Power Locks a few months ago.

I'm looking for the same setup for my '04 STX. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it run you? I take it you installed it yourself? pics??

Cost of A1 Power Windows

I purchased the Kit from A1 Electric. It was on sale for $219.99. I also purchased a set of switches and a set of caps to cover the hole where to window handle was located. The total package with shipping was $280.00. I don't have any pictures.
Procedures for Installing
1. Remove door panel
2. Roll window all the way up
3. Use card board to wedge glass so that it will not fall down
4. Loosen bolts that mounts window glass to regulator
5. Removed regulator ((6 bolts save bolts to remount new power regulator)
6. Install power regulator and tighten bolts
7. Slide window glass down and attach to power regulator
8. Decide where you will install switches
9. Use template to drill holes and cutout for switches
10. Mount switches
11. Route/Run/Pull wire to switch
12. Install cap to cover hole where window handle was located
13. Follow same instruction for passenger side door & window
14. Connect wires per instructions
15. Replace door panel
Estimate time 1.5 hour per door

Cool! I'm proud of you for doing it yourself! Good job! I installed power door locks in my 01 Ranger right after I bought it. Only problem I ran into was, if they weren't together (both locked or unlocked) they wouldn't work. Took me at least an hour of head scratching to figure it out, then I felt really stupid! Waaay back in the day, I stripped out a 1973 Cougar XR-7 and put the power windows and door locks in my 1972 Mustang convertible. That took about a week and a half!

The A1 Electric Installation Instructions for both the power locks and windows are not user friendly. I am a Electrician by trade and it was difficult following their instructions. I smoked the control module for the power locks and had to reorder. They were nice and sent me another one without charge.
