Torque converter shot?

I need some help, I think my t/c is stuck in full lock up. after I start my truck, soon as I put it in gear it stalls out. has anyone experienced this? Is
it controlled electronically? Any suggestions or comments? and if its bad, what is a good quality, best priced torque converter to buy? Thanks!

Its possible.
Does the OD lamp flash? Does it work if cancled?
Check and see if it will stall in man 1 and reverse.

I wanted to see if the OD lamp works.
If it dont work it cannot flash.
Check to see if it will stall in R and man1

Btw-- It will only start in P or N

Try putting into reverse, but the moment you throw it into reverse let of the brake and give it some gas, just try to get the thing moving, if it does, then your torque converter is probably locked up.

Electrical should flash the OD.
Check idle line pressure than cooler flow. (low)
If ok you have to check the TC solenoid for a leak/stuck.
If above is good then i would move to a new TC and seal.

Thats off the top of my head.
M.K. might have some input.

So if you not on the brakes, and put in gear, it starts moving and doesn't stall?

The Edge can't tell you line pressure. All it can tell you is what line pressure it wants. You have to measure line pressure with a 0-350 PSI gauge.

You could have a stuck torque converter control valve.
You could have a stuck torque converter control solenoid.
You could have low fluid.
You could have a loose/missing internal filter.
You could have low line pressure.
