I like what this mod did for my truck. I don't like mods that just raise line pressure. The shifts are nice and tight when I get on it. I took a friend of mine for a ride and he wanted to know if I had had some tranny work done. He said he thought so after feeling the shifts when I put my foot in it. I don't know why but after putting a 4 position TW chip in it made the shifts even better. This is a mod I won't be reversing.

Well the mod is all done and after a 1/2 tank of testing, i got a little side tracked, I LOVE IT! I think that the 2-3 shift needs to be a bit bigger but im to tired to do that today. I bought a new a/b for this so there was no down time, and i was wondering if that piece controls reverse. Reason i ask is that now when i put it into reverse it acts like a standard tranny, like give it some throttle and it slowly roles in and then engages and goes. But the mod worked amazing, thanks Joe.

I wonder about increasing the line pressure though. Wouldn't increasing line pressure make the shifts even harder/firmer with the coon mod? Before adding the TW chip the shift from 2-3 was almost a neck snapper when I would stick my foot in it. The TW chip took that away so I'm wondering if it has more to do with when the TC is locking?

the tc has alot to do with the way the 2-3 shift feels with my mod, tony's tunes i beleive makes it apply different as most chips do.
fox, i think you may have an issue, the mod shouldnt affect the reverse function, make sure you didnt tear the gasket on the plate. there are 4 valves in the body.... 1-2 shift, 2-3 shift, 3-4 shift, and line pressure valve. if the gasket is good then the line pressure valve may be sticking at idle.
