Wierd window prob. on BII

hey all..i have a 89' 2.9L , a/t, edie bauer, BII i just got from a friend and it has an issue with the passenger side electric window.i can roll it up/down from the driver side..but can't from the passenger side unless the door is open.. if i pull on the wire and close the door as far as i can, it will go up/down. i can see the wire runs inside the fender well,do i need to take off the fender and make sure it is hooked up/connected right?

thanx...

The wire is probably damaged internally from it bending when the door is opened/shut. If you pull the door harness wiring out, take each wire and hold it on one end with one hand, and take your thumb and finger from the other hand and pinch the same wire, and then start sliding down the wire while you are pinching it pretty hard. If you get to a spot where the wire feels lumpy, or it stretches, then that's the area where the copper inside has broken.
