2008 Aluminum Diff Cover

When I ordered gauges from Dieselmanor a month ago I also ordered a 2008 rear diff cover for when I got around to changing the fluid. Although it doesn't have the increased volume of some of the after market covers it wasn't over $200.00 but under $70.00. I finally changed the fluid in the front and rear diffs Monday and Tuesday. The front cover is just repainted stocker. Here's some pics. And I might add, No runs, No drips, No errors.

Looks great. I love my 08 cover. I've had a couple of folks ask me about it at filling stations and parking lots.

Looks GREAT Robin! Even without the increased capacity....that 08 cover has the big heat sinks, I bet it'll be alot more efficient.

You can also tap it for a temp sender, I saw a drop of about 20 degrees when pulling with mine.

One of the guys I go to the desert with had a problem with overheating the rear diff pulling a 32' Toy hauler, he said it sounded like dropping a turkey in a deep fryer, he got the maghytec cover to help. He is also running 37" tires. So I have been debating on installing a gauge in my truck since I tow a 27' TH also. What Is the max temp you want to see on the diff? Is there a gauge for the diff or are you using like a trans temp gauge?
