Rancho Shocks - Damping System

A few of you have convinced me that the Rancho RS9000XL's are the way to go on shocks - so in looking at these I note the RCX Remote Damping System. Has anyone installed or had this installed and if so, do you like it? Seems more logical than jumping under the truck to make adjustments when I hook on a trailer or go off road (neither of which I do much of, but still I am lazy). Thoughts / experiences please if you have them. Thanks, Mike

When I installed mine, I set the ***** at a medium (middle) setting, and then never found a need to touch 'em again. So in my situation, I'm glad I never bought the remote.

I set the front alittle stiffer than the rears... all good. If I could get that system cheaper I would buy it.

I have the adjuster system, but after installing my shocks without it and making one adjustment by hand, I haven't felt the need to touch them again.

But if I start taking my Excursion out on the sand, I think I'll want the capability to stiffen them up from inside the cab. I just don't like the add-on look of the Rancho gauges, so finding a way to install them cleanly would be the real trick.

What setting do you leave them on for just "normal" road driving?

I'm not thrilled about where to put the gauges either...thought about doing it inside the console, but theres probably other options.

I started with them on "3", then bumped them up to "5" and that's where both have been. I might go down to "4".
