Ok, I have had it with body lift negatives. I want to hear why with pics body lifts are so bad.
Anyone can talk, lets see pictures of body lift damage.

you put it on and your cab sits higher, but the suspension and other stuff still is at the same spot. plus when you put your body lift on you have to figure out how to get your bumper to be higher.

they aren't that bad, but IMO if you're going to spend the money buy a suspension lift.

Don't have any pics but i just think they look like someone took the cheap way out when ever i see them on a truck and they just look cheesy IMO, they provide no benefit, functionality or performance enhancement to the truck unlike a suspension lift, other then clearing bigger tires and are a PITA to install on top of everything else, the ONLY reason i can see for using one is cost but if cost is a concern i'd suggest saving up and lifting your truck the RIGHT way with a suspension lift.

i dont like them(but have one), but i am going to say that you can keep your frame free of crap if you have one because its alot easier to wash the top of them when the body sits off of it.

Now, now, now... we aren't against body lifts.

I for one have no problem with them... the only thing is, I would kindly ask that owners willing to do so to be generous enough to place all times they intend to be on the road with vehicle fitted with body lift (placing it online at a convenient location, such as your friendly local Ford truck forum, FTE would be good!) so we can avoid crossing paths.

And pass on an address to send flowers for the funeral.......

I used to be totally against body lifts until the first time I had to pull a motor out of a truck with one, waaayyy easier to work on. And they are deffinitely easier to clean the mud out of. I have known countless people with 3" body lifts and have yet to see any lift related damage.

Body Lifts don't help much high-center wise on the longer wheel bases, but once everything is well above the axle tubes what's the point. With a 6in spring and 3in body, you put a lot less stress on your steering links and drivelines than if you had just 9in springs.

My first 77 F150 had a 3" lift on it when I bought it. I don't plan on running one again just cause I don't like the gap look you get. Plus the hole in the floor had to be modified so it could shift right. I wheeled the crap out of that truck, you know how us kids got, and never had a problem. I also have a friend that just put a 3" body lift on his truck to get rid of a little rub and it is a mud racer. I am not saying they are good or bad, it just is your preference. If someone wants to run a body lift, let them do what they want. Simple as that!
