transmission problems

I have a major leak in my c6, its in an 81 f150 with a 351 c. I noticed a large puddle under my truck yesterday, i drove the thing home (15 min) with the tranny slipping real bad. looking from under neath i can see that the inspection cover is missing and thats where the fluid is coming from. What do you guys think is wrong and what needs to be fixed? Btw i was picking up my toyota 4x4 when this happened so this may fit of jelousy from the ford. I think it was right about the time i gave the guy the money the yota when it started

Getting the pump seal on a tranny replaced is one of those jobs that will cost several hundred bucks in labor to change a $10 part.

1st thing the inspection cover should not be missing from a automatic tranny, 2nd thing ......Ooooooooooo Toyota!! .....3rd, tranny work is expensive, unless like Syco you can find some1 who works from his own garage after his day job......

you wont even believe how well the toy handles offroad, on bald 30" tires it can handle pretty much anything.... except mud, it doesnt seem to like mud

I had a 79 Yota 4x4 once, it was fun off-road, but it was useless if you were in a hurry.
