I have no doubt that "in the day" an HEI conversion probably helped out a vehicle, especially one running on points.

But the new HEI systems that you purchase on ebay are probably 100% made in China. How reliable do you think it will be 20K miles from now? I'll give you a hint......carry lots of spare parts!
