FTE Newbie
Just wanted to say "Hi" with my first post. It's nice to finally find a decent Ford V-10 site. Looks like you guys know your stuff.
I have a '99 F-350 4x4 Lariat Off Road CC SWB V10 Auto with the following; 6" pro-comp lift, 34.8 Nitto Trerra Grapplers, Flowmaster cat-back, Magnaflow High flow cat, Diablosport tuner, 4R100 rebuilt with Red Eagle clutches, 4.56 gears, 2 LCD tv's for the kids along with an xbox 360 mounted under the seat (my job takes me all over and I bring the Fam when I can) I regularly tow a 2007 Forest river 30' TT among the other toys. I am the first owner of the truck and it has 193,000 miles on the body and engine, 70,000 on trans (failed due to improper fluid transfer at the wonderful "Jiffy lube" auto center).
Just a little history.... I am a Air Force Veteran as of 2005, having served in Iraq (as Military and Contractor), Mozambique, Kuwait, Sierra Leone, Uzbekistan, Egypt and Afghanistan as a Combat Rescue Crew Chief on HH-60G Pavehawk Helicopters. I currently work at Andrews AFB on USAF UH-1N Twin Hueys (1st Heli) and have the mission of Congressional evacuation among other missions.
Thanks! I hope to gain much knowledge of this truck here and maybe help someone else in the future also.

Well, first off...thanks for your service!!
Nice to have a new member here with 9 year old V10 that he, himself, put all the miles on! Also nice to see someone who re-gears correctly.
Do you really need to evacuate all Congress?? There's a few that you could leave behind...say...435 or so.

Monsta: Thanks and just some of them, we mostly transport guru's from place to place as a nicety, but in case of an attack, we get some of them out.
Krewat, KenneBF250V10; Thanks!
10Strokin; Thank you and I'm very happy with the truck. It's been nothing but good luck and heavy towing. I've had some plugs blow but I broke down and Timeserted all the holes. I won't trade this truck for anything, I purchased it in AZ where is spent most of it's life until recently and its completely rust-free and straight as can be. It was stolen in 2005 and recovered which was kinda nice in some aspects as I got all new leather interior and a whole body paint job so the truck looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
Thanks all of you!

thats a cool story with a happy ending! if u get a chance, post some pics. we are all pretty proud of our trucks. there is a certain mystique that goes along with the V10 emblem on the side. you have to have one or have driven one to know. i have had my 2001 250 6 speed 4x4 now for almost 4 years. nothing but BSEG's every morning i fire it up! good luck. matt
