Timing my big bronco

Hey I have a 79 with a 351 M,,, what is everyone setting there timing at, and what cylinder is the number one cylinder

alxsnmr is starting off with a positive reputation.
If it is dead stock, the timing is set at 10 degrees BTDC or as indicated by the FoMoCo tag on the valve cover or somewhere in the engine compartment. This is set on a warm running engine with the vacuum advance disconnected.

Number 1 cylinder is the Front cylinder on the passenger side of the truck. Ford numbers the cylinders on the passenger side first as 1,2,3,4 then the drivers side front to back as 5,6,7,8.

thanks man, thought that was the order of the cylinders but just wanted to double check,, yea its basicly stock,
