Well the truck from hell runs!
All I needed to do was replace about 12'' of fuel hose from the filter to the carb, and once she got fuel, fired right up. I was suprised, it had not run for YEARS and w/o a choke it pured like kitten. Tested to see if it had forward and reverse and everything seemed to be in working order. Except for the brakes...
Also i noticed there was a soup can covering the lockout hub on the pass side? So im assuming its broke and they put a bandaid over it...

Anyways the only thing that kebt me from driving it home was one of the tires is off the bead (i live about 1/4 mile away, straight shot down a gravel road). Oh well. I think we're picking up some 35" ground hawgs this weekend. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated and post pics of the tires if we get them...

nawww man. Campbell soup made lockouts back in the early 80s. Probably works fine. Just give it a twist.

Not a bad price!

Free is always good.

If it wasn't so hot, I'd love to stay outside tinkering with something like that.

Waiting on updates....

For $150, you should get your fun and moneys worth out of them in no time.

lets see...

so far youve got $150 in truck and tires. Maybe $200 in general tune up and probably $100 in brakes.

I can feasably see this being a respectable truck for less than a grand pending none of the major components need fixin' (trans or axles)

Great job.
