Hey guys... got back from Colorado today, ended up staying an extra day.
Man, wild weather... I was sweating driving up from Colby, KS and then across Nebraska. The clouds were pretty scary looking. I stuck to the non-interstate route again, it doesn't take much longer, and it saved me about 100 miles, not to mention a few gallons of liquid gold (aka gasoline!).
Got back to the Sioux City area in time for tornado warnings just north and just south. At least I missed having to drive through the mess.
i have no flipping idea what to do here in the event of a nado. no basement and i cant really chase them here like i do back home..........Matt
I know what you mean Matt, this is the first time I've been in an apartment during tornado season... I tossed a heavy sleeping bag in the bath tub, since that is the room that is furthest from doors/windows. So far, we've just missed the tornado warning area. But, it's rumbling pretty good to the west, so I'm sure were in for another round.
Sounds like Kearney got nailed. I talked to mom and it sounds like it got a little nasty there (home.....Chapman), but nothing more than here (temp. home.....Platte Center). Had some high winds and hard rain in about 3 waves here. After the second Kenny and I went and drove around to check things out. One creek came up a remarkable amount in the half hour timespan we were out......It sounds like it's raining/thundering pretty good right now but I don't think anything worse will come.

Wow....that's like two spots down from NMC.....thanks for stopping!!! Actually I was out on a service call with another mechanic and it sounds like all the other guys were out too leaving young Kenneth alone in the shop. I'm sure he would've appreciated the company!!!

Good Morning Nebraska.. I heard you guys had some nasty weather down there last night. Most of it stayed south of where I'm at, so all we had up here was some rain. I hope everyone is OK and not too much damage.
Morning Buck. Kearney got slammed last night. I need to get ahold of George(gquinn8516) and make sure him and the wife are okay. Nothing really happened at my place, just alot of rain.
