Those are upper ball joints. You will need a ball joint press to remove them and a good impact gun will help too.
You might want to post in the "Brakes, Steering, Suspension" to get better info on the job.
I've done a few of them and it isn't too hard with the right tools. I replace both upper and lower at the same time just cause I'm in there already.
