Wiring question and remote start question

I have a 2 part question for all the people smarter than me.

First - I have a Ford remote starter P/N 2W7J-19G367-AA that is installed on a 2006 PSD. The dealer tells me it is not compatable with the 2008 trucks. Is that true? If not, what vehicles would this work for? If I cant keep it then I would like to sell it and would need to what applications it would work on.

Second - there is a light green/white stripe wire under the dash in a wire loom that leads to the engine compartment. There is a tag on this harness that shows all the wires and I am assuming this wire is the one that reads "LG-W CTO". This wire is connected to my remote start and I cant determine its function. Its the only wire I am confused about. What does CTO mean?

Thanks in advance for the help.
