leak from 72 f250 transfer case spedo cable

I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a fix for a leaky spedo cable where it attaches to the transfer case of 72 f250. I was told there was an O'ring in there but when I checked a while back I did not see it but I only gave it a quick glance so I may have missed it. Thanks...

If there's a leak from that area, it's not caused by a missing O-Ring because there isn't one.
