Sorry, I just don't see the point of it. You can't use it offroad without cutouts and some undercarriage upgrades and you can't use it on the street for anything other than a daily driver, towing is out the window.

I wonder if a "LOWRIDER CONTEST" would go over well as the next picture contest at FTE...

There are extremes all over the custom trucking world. JACK IT, SLAM IT, RACE IT, LUX IT, RAT IT, etc...

Just for the record i agree with the impracticalness of these trucks, but like said above to each his own and the champain and blk one is just a show truck.... and was built really well, but like you all said i think it looks a lil tacky just figured the pics supported this topic...

I just wanted to apologize to the people that really dislike these trucks. I will never know what it is like to have nothing better to do with my life than get on a forum and post comments like that about someone else's vehicle!

I came here with a question and got nothing. A few people asked for more pics so I posted them. Thanks to everyone for the support and kind comments!

And I think the Champagne one is sick! The framing underneath looks pretty sweet.

You mean THIS question:

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Michelin XZL 53's. I have a set of Dick Cepek DC-1's that i would like to mount them on. Has anyone done this or seen this done? The tire shops around here are telling me that it will be nearly impossible to mount that tire on a drop center wheel.

Now, if we quit carping back and forth and think about this logically - the tire and wheel forum is the best place to ask - since pro's who do all kinds of truck tires pipe up in there.

(NO, I'm not being a wiseguy. I really do want to see the original question answered)

The answer is yes, they will mount and seat. I found someone on a different forum that had done it before and they have me enough insight into the subject to get it done!

Those last two pictures actually have them on.

Thanks for the support Wolf!

I will, no matter WHAT do my best to help and support another FTE driver.

You can put that in the bank. That's what FTE is all about!

I'm sorry, but this is a classic example of having more money than sense. Spending a ton of money to make a truck completely useless is just stupid.

that and the fact that you are a stand up kind of feller, that will not kick another feller in the cookies just cause he is down.

you will wait till his back is turned, and he cant see you swing for the kick!

Nick (quadzjr) couldve told you "yes they will mount up" because he just did this with some stazworks DBs and 53" michelins. What he also couldve told you is that 1ton axles WILL NOT support 53" tires with any type of use outside of a mall parking lot. Thats why hes using rocks on a similar 4link with FOA coilovers to the black truck.

Now...
IF the OP took those rediculous banana springs and drop hangers off the truck and scrapped the 1ton stuff all together and replaced it with rockwells with 4 corner disk brakes (something in the 14" rotor/4piston caliper flava), a 4link with coilovers, some serious engine and steering upgrades and possibly lowered the truck some (used cut out flares) I would have an enormous amount of respect for it.

Its not that I hate super high lifted trucks and 50"+ tires. Please dont get the wrong idea. I hate super high lifted trucks on 50"+ tires that are done incorrectly with inferior parts that IMHO make the thing useless. I wouldve given you just as much hell if either of you had 38" tires on a D44TTB so dont feel special.
