soft tops

I have been looking for a soft top for my bronco. I found can-back tops a long time ago and they look awesome. Problem is they went out of buisness or something like that. Well i think someone bought them out or they opened back up but there starting to go into reproduction. http://www.can-back.com/ thats the link to the sight. Please go to it and express interest in it so they will make it sooner. I am dying to get one of these. Look for the pic of the blazer. It looks awesome. Thanks

They look nice. But $1300 for a Bronco is a bit steep.

Yeah, the soft-top market for the Big Bronco has basically dried up. Its a shame too since the old STC (Specialty Top Corp.) one was very nice and much more cost appropriate than the $1300 price tag here. STC had purchased the production rights for it from Kayline (originally K bar S) that made all sorts of cool stuff for the full size Bronco. Best you can hope for is to find someone who is willing to part with a used one... don't hold your breath though.

At this point, if you are even a bit mechanically inclined, you could fab up a bracket frame system and head down to a local upholstery shop and have one custom made.

I know I used to mention this all the time when the soft top question came up but I haven't been here for a while so... I modified a stock hard top with soft windows and a soft top center section a few years back. I did it really because mine is a 93 with shoulder harness rear seat belts and wanted to keep them. My gallery "Old TOPic, new twist" shows the basics of what I did.

i remember looking at your design. it is a pretty cool idea. i just really like the look of the full soft top. i have been dreaming up plans for making my own soft top and i am very mechanicly inclined but i do not have the space time or tools to fab my own unfortunately. i would love to have a welder and all that but i rent and do not have a garage. also i would imagine you would need a pipe bender as well
