Question 351m ?

Hey guys.Im note sure if im in the right section for this question.Anyway i got a 1988 f-250 4x4 and im tossing the 7.3 diesel in favor of my rebuilt 351M V8.Im looking for a hydraulic manual transmission to mate up with the 351M.I heard that the manual tranny's from the 460 V8 are the same bell housing as the 351M.If this is true do i use the 351M flywheel, presure plate and clutch disc or do i have to use a 460 flywheel, presure plate and disc,i dont even know if all the items are the same.So if any one can shed some lite on this for me or point me in the right direction. Thanks

Use the flywheel off the 351M but you will need the clutch and pressure plate from the 460 so the slave cyl can function properly, and yes the bellhousings are the same. I don't know if the 460 stuff will work on a 351M flywheel but if the 460 flywheel will bolt up the 351M you could get it rebalanced and it might.
