Thumbs down XP Service Pack 3 = No address bar.

What's with that???
I just installed Service Pack 3 on both of my computers and now no address bar, not even the option of turning it on.
Did a Google search and found some information that it was removed for legal reasons.
LINK TO SEARCH
Tried this address bar plug in, installed it and no address bar. Uninstalled it until further notice.
MUVENUM

I WANT MY ADDRESS BAR BACK!!!!!!!!!

Bummer. That reminds me, I have to block SP3 on my computers for the time being. Every time MS releases a service pack is mucks everything up for a while.

I managed to get it back - by uninstalling SP3.
I will block it as well too.

I never use it myself so no biggie..

That is why I Never have automatic install of updates...

If that is all that went wrong with your pc after installing SP3 then you are lucky...

I have heard that you need to update drivers before installing SP3...

Did not know there was one. What I did was go into Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, and Service Pack 3 was listed. I simply unistalled it from there and all is restored.

Lazy K is starting off with a positive reputation.
I installed Service Pack 3 last Thursday. Huge download. Installed no problem. Everything as normal.

Check this out:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

This link should bring you to a utility to block SP3 from showing up in the automatic updates list.

Installed just fine on my computers as well, except no address bar in the task bar.
Show stopper for me.
