I am the proud owner of a '78 F150 full-size Ranger XLT 4x4 with a short bed.
I've had the truck for over 10 years. Over that time it's transitioned from daily driver to project vehicle as various things needed repair.
Over the last 3 years or so I took it off the road and began projects. In that time I have:
1) Replaced bad body / floor panels and cab corners with new metal.
2) Repainted the truck to a '78 Ford green.
3) Painted the frame brown.
4) Removed the rusted out bed and built the frame for a flatbed
5) Replaced the motor with a "new" rebuilt ordered through Advanced Auto
6) Replaced the intake, carb, and put in headers and custom dual exhaust
7) Replaced the carpet
I had planned to do a lot more work to the interior, installing a newer bench seat and building a nice cedar flatbed with side rails. Instead, I've been traveling 100% for work, and now I'm about to move to WA state.
That said, I'd like to sell the truck before I go. It starts (once the battery is charged) and runs like a champ but it hasn't been on the road in the last few years. I change the oil and move it around the driveway a bit from time to time and she never fails to start up.
The truck has about 180k on it, and the new motor probably has less than 500-1000 miles.
I'm not quite sure what it's worth at this point, so I'm interested in ideas on how to price it. If I can get a decent offer, I'll let it go, reluctantly
PM me with your email address and I can send more pictures.
I am selling my 1999 F250 LD, it has 135xxx on the clock, 5.4l,grey cloth split bench interior, has an aftermarket cd player, and kenwood rear speakers, has a tool box in the bed, magnaflow exhaust, runs and drives awesome, never any problems with it.

I have for sale a nice stock chrome grille for a 1992-96 F150 and a set of chrome bed mouldings with black vinyl insert for a 1973-79 long bed. Best offer accepted for either item. Because of the size and shipping costs of these items I will not ship them, so they have to be picked up in person.

Reason: Update info.
SOLD - 2001 F250 Lariat 7.3L PSD 4x4 Crew Cab short bed
I really don't want to sell my truck, but lately it's been just sitting for weeks or months at a time. I've been traveling alot lately and have not used my truck as much as I should. Plus when I bought my truck, It was for my whole family and then some. But now only I am driving it. My wife is not able to get in anymore due to her disabilities. I've picked up a new F150 that we are now using as our primary Vehicle.
There will be extra's with my truck. Things that I bought that have'nt put on yet or stuff that I took off. Old rims and tires (35") that were used for the winter months, cases of Oil, new glow plugs, wicked wheel (for Turbo), CPS sensor and more.
Truck has 67,000 miles.
Not too sure if I can put the amount I am wanting for it, so you'll have to PM me.
Dave.
3/5/10 entry, Sold as of Tomorrow (Sunday).

I used to build houses but then the Goldman Sacks thought it a good idea to securitize a bunch of mortgages written to part time minimum wage earners and resell them as triple A bonds.
Well Illinois, The Beast is still looking for a new home. Niece visited from Cape Girardeau & it sat for about a week, got snowed on. Temp. was down to -5 one morning. Still started up with no problems & ran great. Still not planning on keeping it, I've got Old Rusty & that's enough for right now.
