2wd leveling kit

did a couple of searches but found nothing pertaining to an 03 supercrew 2wd with towing package. Anybody done one and any negatives. Truck is unloaded most of the time and would love to have another inch or so when crossing medians (to eliminate horrible dragging sound). I come from a 4-wheel drive backgorund and have tightened torsions, installed lifts, etc but want to know if there are some huge drawbacks to leveling my screw out or what you guys recommend. Again, did a search and did not find anything.

do you just want to lift the front with some coil spring spacers?

If that is the most reasonable way to go (pricewise). Or not sure if they even sell longer springs for the 2wd. Obviously would have to align afterwards, but just was not sure if anyone had done this and if there were drawbacks. Also I would imagine the shocks would still have enough room, and steering looks like it has enough room.
Have you done this - or anyone have other suggestions (anyone who even found a way they do not recommend, thay way I know not to do it.
Thank you for the response Triton.

Spacers would the easiest/cheapest way to go. I think the aluminum spacers are about $100 or a little more and they just go on top of the spring under the sprint mount. You can keep the stock shocks. Of course you could wedge those cheap spacers in between the extended spring and hope they don't come shooting out when you hit a bump.

I believe I saw spacers on autoanything.com for $40-$50. Fat Bobs garage (see left side of this page) had a pretty good deal on them also.
