just wondering if you can buy a prepainted truck bed from ford

the way to go is to get a take off bed.

I would assume you can buy a bed assy from ford. I know you can get the parts. But yes, the best way to go is to get a new take off bed. Pretty easy for the superduties. Even the 08 should fit fine, just the tail gate will be different. I paid $1500 for mine, painted red already. It was a hookup price, I would expect to pay closer to $2000.

I found an 08 from a local outfit that deals in aftermarket bodies. Picked it up for $800, but it is white so now I have to get it painted. Right now I my pickups a real head turner, Arizona beige w/ a Oxford White Box!!

That's a deal. I guess the market is different around here. I looked for a while and that was the best I could find. Then again, it was in the color I wanted. So I guess that has some value.
