I know there's the upcoming GTG in Vernon or wherever it'll end up, and as much as I'd like to be there I just can't justify travelling that far for a coffee!
For anyone in the Lower Mainland / Fraser Valley, are you interested in a GTG, say a Sat or Sun morning at the same place as the last one (Langley)?
Dang it Zip, I forgot that you were in Princeton. I was riding near Osprey Lake during the long weekend, Fri-Tue. Lots of great ATV trails there.
Anyways, last year (wow, has it been that long? April 2007!) we met at 9:00am in the parking lot just north of the Tim Hortons on 200th Street that is just south of Hwy 1.
I prefer Sundays, but I am open to date/time/location. I'm riding this Saturday (May 31) at Chipmunk, so that's the only date I can't be there. Let's see where everyone who's coming is located, and pick a location accordingly. I'm in the Tri-Cities.
There should be a parking lot nearby wherever we are meeting that will allow us to park in close proximity, ie. a mall where most places are closed Sunday morning (is that even possible?), and within walking distance to Timmy's or wherever. It doesn't have to be Timmy's!
i'm in bby, and the only place i know of that might work and i've seen guys do it before it either 8 rinks, or queensbourough landing, those are just a couple off the top of my head that meets have been held at before, also the parking lot across from playland, not walking distance from timmys mind
Kennedy's Pub in North Delta has 20-cent wings on Thurs nights. I think it's Thursdays; dunno if they have it on other nights. I could phone to verify if that interests anyone. Plenty of parking at the mall next door, where can stand around and truck-sniff. Dips 50 cents each.
Pemberton Station Pub in North Van has 35-cent wings on either Wed or Thurs (can't remember). They have the best atmosphere, but the worst parking (small lot, some street parking). Dips included in price.
Clydesdale Inn in Cloverdale has 10-cent wings all the time, but the atmosphere isn't that great and the cigarette smoke is kinda bad for non-smokers. Parking situation isn't too good either. Dips $1 each.
The wings are good at any of these places. Out of these three, I suggest Kennedy's. If anyone else knows of another wings place, please post!
