One piece door windows question '57-'60

Just wondering has anyone removed the quarter windows in a '57 to '60 and installed one piece glass??
My quarter frames are not real good and one handle is broken the other is frozen stuck so I was thinking if its do-able I might go for one piece glass.
If anyone has a pic of any done please show me. Thanks

Hey Ash, I am going to the States in three and a bit weeks, do you want me to pick you up some quarter glass frames for your 57 or some little odds and ends. Might save you some dollars. Cheers Aussie 53 (Paul)

I also want to do the same thing, so let me tell you about my experience. I ordered the one piece door glass kit from Vintage Glass. I received the glass in a couple of weeks but it was not the correct size. I later received the rest of the "kit" which is some straight lengths of U channel and straight lengths of anti rattle (I guess). I hadn't done much research on the subject which is why I went with the kit. Not really a kit of any kind in my opinion. Anyway after 4 months or so I just learned that my credit card co. was able to resolve the dispute by issuing me a full credit. After this experience alot of members here recommend finding a good glass company locally to see if they can cut the glass, get the U channel etc. I think that is what I will try next. Just an FYI on my dealings with Vintage Glass. Hard to get ahold of, promise & don't deliver & won't attempt to contact the customer when problems arise!

I myself love having the wing windows. You get alot of wind noise out the top of the window when you barely have the window down. Plus I like that I can aim the air flow where I want it to go.
