4" Suspension and 3"body lift?????

Hey I was looking for some advice and or help with this situation, i'm wanting to put a 4 inch suspension lift, and a 3 inch body lift on my 79 f150 4x4. I'm not wanting to put it in the mud all the time, but i just want it to stand high with maybe 38" on it. And what makes of these lifts would you all recomend thanks, sean.

body lifts look bad. if you want it that high just go all out with a big suspension lift. dont forget about lengthening your driveshaft also. and if you put too big of a tire might as well put new gears in it too. theres gonna more too it than just lifting the truck.

theres a tire/gear ratio chart on this website somewhere. your gonna have to see what a 38in tire compares to what gear you'll need. thats some big heavy tires your gonna be pushing, it would throw your speedo all out of wack too. if you have the stock gears in the rearend still, then chances are their gonna have a hard time pushing that big of a tire. as for the lift of the truck, i'd stay with a straight suspension lift instead of a body lift too. it looks better and if your gonna be under the truck doing all that, might as well just go with a bigger suspension lift. instead of lifting the body and messing around with all those rubber lift bushings.

aurgathor is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Go for 6" suspension instead.
