Question 6 inch lift with 35's on superduty?

hello to all again. i have a 99' f-250 sd 4x4 with the 5.4 motor in her. im thinking about changin' my trucks stance a little. thinking about a 6inch lift and gettin rid of my 285 tires for some 35's. do you think thats too much lift for a 35" tire? i dont wanna run TOO big of tires seeing how the gas prices keep on rising and i really dont wanna change the gear ratio either. or do you think a 4 inch lift would be better? im just scared of having to lengthen my driveshaft with a 6 inch lift. i really dont wanna get over me head here! thinking about just buying a kit from summit racing since i live fairly close to one. any big difference with superlift, skyjacker and pro comp? thanks in advance.. --Ryan

I did the 6" with 35's , I like the bigger gap / look , but thats up to you , my drive shaft is about 1" to short , have to get it lengthened when I get time
The other thing is I put the diesel springs on mine for the extra weight capacity if I add accessories later , but they lifted mine close to 7".
The positive thing is that the procomp 35's clear the factory mud flaps and that plastic factory air dam under the front bumper with room to spare.

so your driveshaft is an inch short and you can still drive it that way? maybe if i go with the 4inch lift i wont have to do that. i also like the bigger gap look above the tire. plus putting a set of 40's wouldnt really be practical for me (even though i would love to do that).

It is pulled out of the yoke about an inch farther than what it was originally , sorry I didn't make that clear , if it was actually an inch short I would have to remove it !

how do you like the 6 inch superlift set up? alot of people say their not as good as skyjacker brand...just curious. also, did you go with the rear lift blocks or spend the extra for the lifted rear spring? i really want to lift my truck up, but a 6 inch lift seems to be at the point where its more than just a lift kit....you need to extend the brake lines, worry about the drive shaft... things like that. im just thinking ahead of time to see if its gonna be worth all the hassle.

I run superlift systems on everything I lift, they seem to have a better ride and come with more accesorys. The 6 inch lift with 35's is a good combo, especially if you go with a wider wheel and tire combo. I had a 2000 superduty with an 8 inch lift and 40's. It was a beast.
