rbuilding a tranny.....

Im rebuilding the tranny for my 89 302 aod with the b/w t-case...and am going to put a shift kit in also...its my first, i bought the haynes book on the bronco/f150 and haynes aod tranny book and Bad Shoe Productions How To Video Series - Ford Transmissions & Rears help me along.....any last words?

Easy re-build. I did my AOD a few years ago. There are some pics in my gallery. Just remember the order things came out. I used a camera to help me. I did it with just the manual so it will be even better with the video. I used a transgo kit and kevlar band and mine is still running strong. Good luck!

dads1966 is starting off with a positive reputation.
I did my first AOD in my sons 87 Bronco. It was definately a learning experience. Take the advise previously posted, take pictures it will make it much easier to put back together. I will take pictures next time Definately,
Once I got it apart i couldn't see anything visually wrong with the transmission so I let it sit a few days and returned often to look at it and found the shaft splines/ and splines in the torque coverter were rounded off which explained why noise my son abrubtly heard prior to it not moving again. I thought maybe the oil pump was bad but it turned out not the case.
