Sputtering in Gear

My V-10 has been sputtering when in gear. It started when I got some gas at the local station and am hoping that it is bad fuel. I added some Heet as well as fuel injector cleaner but no results yet. My next option is the fuel filter. How hard is that to change? This is my first FI gas vehicle and it hs 160K miles.

To change the fuel filter is really not that hard. Here is a link...that explains the special tool needed...and pay close attention on POST #7 and #26.

Thanks, I got the filter changed and it helped but it still sputters some especially at the lower end of the gear range. I will go through the rest of this tank, try some gas from a different store and hope it cures the ills. There is no check engine light on, will it still throw codes?

it's coil on plug [cop], prob got a bad one or two, bseg barry
