performance

I have a 79 ford courier with a 2.3 bored .30 over. It also has a 4x4 kit on it. Everything works great but the horsepower, I know its a four cylinder but going up hills on the road is a nightmare. I have looked into RACER-WALSH AND enslinger about headers and intakes, how about a cam? Any suggestions.
