Hose clamps a definate no no for PS hose?

For the supply side, What kind of PSI does the PS system put out? I have a brass air hose double barb and it fits in really nice (I will have to cut the hose to get it apart). Would it hold? or should I just get a hose made up?

I am working on using the ford 5.0 PS pump and volare steering box.

Most power steering systems run somewhere around 16-1800 PSI. You will need a high pressure hose for this.

Pressure side definitely get line made, very high pressure for sure..... return side is all volume with very low pressure so large diameter hose with hose clamps and barbed fittings is fine.

Get your pressure hoses made up by someone that has the proper clamps. And make sure when you install them you dont hook them up backwards. The steering wheel may turn by itself with extremly high speed and will break your arm if you are reaching though it.

16-1800 psi, holy cow thats a bunch, will take it down and have them crimped The Ford Hose looks brand new I will just cut it the appropriate lenght and have the local NAPA crimp on the mopar end.
