May Whatcha Working on Thread

Bad metal on metal scrapping sounds out of the drivers front wheel/hub, going to have to take it to the mechanic I think.

Have you pulled the wheel off and had a look yet? Could be the brakes or a wheel bearing.

No , not yet. It came at the END of 2 days off , I think the hub or bearings are lunching themselves.

That doesn't sound overly good. Jack it up and give the tire a shake. Should tell you in the bearings are furbar.

I imagine Ford should still carry the parts. Wrecker should also have something. A few in Kamloops from what I remember. If you can get the numbers off the bearings it may be cheaper to get them from a bearing outfit.

I get a deal from the auto parts places, Ford might have them in the States but they are off the books here.

$20 at Pick n Pull, got a door for Wifes car and a new air box top piece for $60 extra . Turns out the pass side spindle is still good but the outer nut was loose!!! And the wheel and torington bearings were both toast. Probably be $140 ish for parts and $150 - $200 for the labour.
