Expensive, too. But rebuilding a flathead has gotten REAL expensive in the last few years. Figure 2 to 3 grand for a good rebuild or spend 5 at Flathead Jacks

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-Mar-02 AT 08:23 PM (EST)]If you're near Rochester, NY, I'd try Flathead Sales & Service at (585)293-3203. Last I knew they were rebuilding engines for about $1800 - guaranteed. I've been bugging them & they still aren't up internet wise.
Look at www.yesteryeartractor.com I was looking at Flathead engine parts and they seemed very reasonable there. Only thing is you have to know the tractor designation for your engine 8N, 9N, ect.
