Poking around an old junkyard, I found an oooolllddd military generator witha flathead diesel- NO JOKE! I spent about an hour checking this thing out, it was for real a diesel, no carb, rotary style fuel pump, but no id of any kind. Anybody know about these, and should I go back and get it?

i saw one a couple of years ago. it was the back-up gen for a hotel built around 1910. i tried to get it but the forman from the demo crew kept it for himself. did the engine turn over? how big was it? tim
it's a genset for a shop-probably not used for the last 30 yrs or so- it's a small, 4cyl job. I am going to go back up there next week, and see if I can get it.
