Toyo Open Country M/T

I am looking at getting a set of Toyo Open Country M/T (35 x 12.50 R20) for my 2006 Super Duty. I have read nothing but good reviews on other sites and was wanting some honest opinions for the ones that truely know. Lets hear it. Thanks!

Great tire, you won't be disappointed. The others I'm looking at now are the BFG KM2 and Mickey Thompson MTZ.

no experience with them but I am curious if your Terra Grapplers are worn out or if there is some other reason you are interested in a different tire. I read the BFG's were noisy so I was thinking about the Terra Grapplers.

i have had my set (33x12,5x20) for about 6,000 miles now. they are awesome. they are very quiet. people who ride with me are shocked at how quiet they are for an aggressive mud terrain. these are my first set and i dont think i will ever run anything else. they are awesome and worth the money.

If they are anything like the Toyo Open Country ATs, you will not be disappointed. Just got me a set of the ATs and they are incredibly quiet and meaty lookin...I'm sold on them.

Nothing wrong with the Terra Grapplers just time for some new tires and I was wanting something a little more aggressive that drove well. I have heard nothing good about the on road performance of the Nitto Mud Grapplers but I have really enjoyed the Terra Grapplers.

I have been extremely happy with my 35x12.5R20 Toyo MTs. I've got about 15000 miles on them now and they seem to be wearing great. I haven't even had them rotated and balanced yet since thye were first put on before I took delivery (I know I'm planning on doing it soon but I've been too busy).

I love my 33x12.5x20 toyo M/T's. They are quiet compared to other M/T's, yet still have some road noise. I have had them for about 3K miles now and they look brand new still. I am however, having issues with a shimmy at about 70mph, but I doubt it has anything to do with the tires. Could be a comination of poor balancing from 4wheelparts.com or it could be that I need a steering stabilizer since I have a leveling kit.

Brettwingfield -
Thanks for the post - you must have been reading my mind. Just a couple of days ago I sent a PM to a forum member asking essentially the same question. I am not yet in the market but I have heard good things about the Open Country M/T's. I want to decide on what my next tire will be with enough time to find a real good deal on a set. So far it looks like the Toyo's are #1 on my list.

Theyre a great tire, a little spendy but i worth it in the long run rotate them and you should get around 40k out of them.

StealmyTruck, they are very good tires. Uneducated posts like yours are the only downside to informative forums like this. You don't need to post something just to feel special and be different.

He has a negative sarcastic tone in 95% of his posts. Rarely anything informative. Trollin much?
