ABS light

I have a 1996 ford E350 class C 20FT. motor home, with a 7.5 gas engine. I did a front brake pad replacement before my trip to Baja. I did about 1200 miles round trip. The ABS light goes on once in a while, stays in for a while then gos out, by it's self. Any ideas?

The only way to know what is wrong is to read the codes. A wheel speed sensor is a likely problem but which one at $100+ each to replace.

How do you test a wheel sensor?

Does it have Rear Antilock Brakes or optional 4 Wheel Antilock Brakes?
